Tasteful Swedish Super Collaboration – Én Gin by Björn Frantzén and Hernö Gin is Launched
You can find one of the world’s best restaurants and the world’s most award-winning gin distillery in Sweden. Now, star chef Björn Frantzén and Hernö Gin present their first product collaboration, Én Gin, now available via Systembolaget in Sweden.
Two Swedes who have put Sweden on the world map in the food and beverage categories, are Björn Frantzén and Jon Hillgren. With his two three-star restaurants, Björn Frantzén is unique both internationally and domestically, with Restaurant Frantzén being the first, and so far the only, restaurant in Sweden to be awarded three stars in the legendary Guide Michelin. Jon Hillgren founded Sweden’s first gin distillery, Hernö Gin, which today is a leader in the domestic market and positioned as the world’s most award-winning gin distillery.
“We have had our eyes on each other for a long time, and I started serving Hernö gin in my restaurants early on. Both we as individuals and our respective teams share the ambition to never be completely satisfied; we aim to deliver the absolute best imaginable experience for our guests in each category. Food and drink are an experience and we both strive to deliver world-class quality,” says Björn Frantzén.
Hernö Gin has made several collaborations with well-known brands, but this will be the biggest since the start and the first to have its own joint concept.
“I have always enjoyed Björn’s restaurants, and I think many people can relate to that. We have crossed paths over the years without personally meeting, but when the collaboration idea came up, it still felt like an obvious thing. We both share the same drive, love for Nordic flavors, view on raw materials, and passion for craftsmanship. This is a first step in a long-term collaboration where together we can help elevate the Swedish food and drink culture both nationally and internationally even more so,” says Jon Hillgren, founder of Hernö Gin.
The first product from Frantzén and Hernö’s collaboration is Én Gin. A gin which base is the multiple award-winning gin from Hernö packed with flavor from juniper and coriander, topped with handpicked flavors with an Asian touch signed by Björn Frantzén. The result is an elegant London Dry Gin that amplifies and enhances both flavor and experience in every cocktail and drink.
