Frantzén Group to Open a Contemporary Grillhouse in Central Stockholm

Frantzén Group, led by Michelin-starred chef Björn Frantzén, is launching a new restaurant in central Stockholm, set to open in early 2026. This new addition to the group’s Stockholm operations joins the renowned three-Michelin-star fine dining restaurant Frantzén and Brasserie Astoria.

After several years of international expansion—including two new restaurants in Dubai last year and an upcoming establishment in Marbella—the group is now turning its focus back to its home city to introduce a new gastronomic concept.

This new restaurant will be a contemporary grillhouse specializing in open-fire cooking, offering an extensive à la carte menu. Guests can indulge in appetizers from a raw bar—featuring crudos, sashimi, sushi, and more—before exploring a main course selection of fire-kissed meats, fish, seafood, vegetables, and poultry. For dessert, options like ice cream trolleys will add a playful touch. Drawing inspiration from both Asia and North America, the menu is infused with Björn Frantzén’s bold flavors and signature techniques.

The venue itself is unique, having never previously housed a restaurant—making this an exciting opportunity to create something entirely new in the space. The restaurant will stay open late and feature a spacious bar area, along with a carefully curated cocktail menu. With a lively dining room and a vibrant bar, it will offer a high-energy atmosphere where guests can socialize and enjoy food and drinks well into the night.

Björn Frantzén: “Opening a grill restaurant has long been a dream of mine, and now we’re excited to bring it to life with a modern and innovative twist. This is the kind of place I would personally love to visit and something I feel has been missing in Stockholm, so it’s incredibly exciting to launch it in my own city.”
